HÀ NỘI — Bamboo Airways has maintained its top spot with the most on-time performance and lowest rate of flight delays and cancellations of all Việt Nam’s commercial airlines, according to newly-released statistics from the Civil Aviation Authority of Việt Nam (CAAV).

From March 19 to April 18, Bamboo Airways operates 96 per cent of its flights on time, preserving its leading position in punctuality among the three biggest airlines, as well as the Việt Nam’s entire aviation industry.

Vietjet Air and Vietnam Airlines rank second and third with the on-time performance (OTP) of 93.3 per cent and 91.1 per cent, respectively. In fourth place was Vietravel Airlines with 90.6 per cent on-time flights. With the OTP of 87 per cent, Pacific Airlines ranks last.

Bamboo Airways was also the most on-time airline for three consecutive years up to the first three months of 2021.

Since April, Bamboo Airways has restored and opened six routes connecting Cần Thơ to Đà Nẵng and Quy Nhơn, Thanh Hóa to Quy Nhơn from April 28, Cần Thơ to Hải Phòng, Quy Nhơn to Đà Lạt, Đà Nẵng to Thanh Hóa from May 15. The routes, connecting new provinces and cities such as Điện Biên, will be operational from the beginning of the third quarter of 2021 to provide passengers with convenient and time-saving non-stop flights. — VNS
